If there is chance of the thing getting legal does the without predjudice on the top of the letter keep it away from legalities like it used to?

OK Billy if you don't want to go down the road of legal action why not consult a lawyer stating that and asking for advice on the wording and actions to take. Or more low key speak to the CAB legal department on the same vein for expert advice. As Gordon said the wording and coolness is all important. As to if you're barred is a question for them as the official may not have the authority himself to make that decision it would depend on the constitution of the club. Expert advice is essential here.

So Billy are you one of these lager louts I hear about? LOL Or is it the wife leading you astray? LOL

Roger, we don't want to go down the legal road. All we want is for the person in question to be delt with by the social club committee. We thing he should be removed from his position as soon as possible.

I don't really know how this kind of thing works, because as he was being removed from the hall, he shouted back at us, that we were barred from the club. I don't know if he can do this or not, where do we stand, I'm asking myself,

Hi Billy

Have you considered one of the "No-win No-fee" solicitors? If it was verbal and physical assault it may well be you have a case against them.

Subject: [access-uk] Complaint Letter?

hi guys,
I have to write a letter of complaint to my local Miners Welfare Social Club Committee. The complaint is regarding a verbal & actual assault on my wife Anne by one of the clubs committee members.

Could someone in the group please provide some good URL'S where I can get some advice on writing such a letter of complaint, I don't really know where to begin with this.
Any kind of help would be really helpful.

Hope I'm not going too far off topic with this one, if I am, then I apoligise in advance, but as you can imagine, we are still in shock after Saturday night,

Billy
