For two reasons. The first is that his laptop doesn't have speech on it. The other is that my dad lives away from me and he isn't very computer savvy and gets confused quite easily. He knows how to search the internet and transfer photo's, but that's about it. Still, he must know something more as he needs his email address for something, hence the @ key. I'll be visiting him at the weekend and it would be useful to know what I'm doing to explain properly to him when I'm there.
