The clickable elements allow the text to be resized without causing the page
to be reloaded.
A standard link would mean the page was reloaded when you select it.

Handy as your focus is not reverted to the beginning of the page again but
no excuse for not labelling them properly.

Many thanks, Mark. I came to the same conclusions as you and will inform
the site owners.

Cheers

Hi Barry,

I've taken a look at the page, and with my very limited knowledge and
experience I can see no reason why the designer has chosen to use clickable
elements as opposed to plain links. Hopefully someone more clued up can take
over from here. Incidentally, I've experienced problems in accessing the
elements with just pressing enter, I've had to use the mouse and left-click
them. This makes me feel this could be tied in with JavaScript, but again
I'm more than willing to stand corrected on this.
