Well, it isn't a Nowadays solution because I can't get any enjoyment out of
the TV and I'd love to be able to access documentaries so why can't we
DeafBlind access TV now, years later, just What has happened to modern,
developing technology?  Christine W.

Well for TV  it could  be Braille subtitles, or a Braille transcript.

Some years ago Braille subtitles was  tried  (as part of the
Guardian  and  Teletext  project  the RNIB  was involved with)

Some list  members may  well  remember  the system.
