Hi Kazeja,

They are called graphical verification or something along these lines. Some 
websites add a link to an audio file of these graphics for the visually 
impaired. Try to look for a link that says something like if you can't read 
these characters click here. If no audio file is provided, I'm afraid you 
have to either email the website's admin explaining your situation and ask 
for their help, or just get someone to help you with the signing process.

If you still having difficulties you could perhaps send to the list the 
address of the site in question an see if someone can have a go at it.
