Thanks Steve, I'll send them some feedback.

I'm sure Android has its advantages but having just bought an iPhone, I
don't plan to find out about them just yet.

All the best,

Hi Kirsty,

Send feedback like this to accessibility@xxxxxxxxx.

Note, this is why I love Android, or one of the reasons. Although Android
has no pronunciation dictionary, Code Factory have written one in to
Vocalizer, so that we can add mispronounced words to good old Daniel.
Unfortunately, third parties, because they can't add voices to iOS, can't do
slick stuff like that.

Just a thought.

All the best

Steve

Thanks for this. That's a shame about iOS. Is there anywhere that we can
submit requests for improvements for future updates?

Under iOS, no. Under OS X, yes. Open VoiceOver Utility with
control-option-f8, interact with the categories table, find speech, stop
interacting, control-option-left/right until you find pronunciation tab,
press vo-space to select. Unlike Windows you have to select tabs by
activating them.

Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to make changes to the way that VoiceOver pronounces
specific words as we can with Jaws? If so, what do I need to do?

Many thanks,

Kirsty
