It certainly is. I have already written to Audible about this. The only way I could get the Edit button to speak was by changing the book list view criteria. A backward step as far as accessibility and usability is concerned. The Victor Stream makes you confirm twice that you want to delete something and Audible have made you jump through hoops to do the same. Personally I don't tend to use the search facility as I prefer to browse through my titles and choose what I want to read that way. Thanks for the hint about flicking up and down to change pages. I'll definitely be writing to Audible about both of these as I think they've made the app harder to use than it needs to be. OK, to delete a book and it took me a while to figure this out, double tap on the title of the book and hold on the second tap until you here the three pip pass-through gesture sound. Wiggle your finger about a bit as in the scrub gesture, this will bring up edit mode although nothing is spoken. Find the delete button next to the book you want to delete and double tap on this, you will then be asked whether you want to delete the book in the normal way. What they've done is to make the app look alike on iPad and iPhone, so where as on the iPhone you had all the info as you describe in one block, you now have to swipe through the bits of info for each book. You can scroll pages in your library by three finger flick up and down and you can search your library too, so you can still easily enough find what you're looking for though I agree with you, they didn't need to fix what wasn't broken especially now removing books is a pane. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: Yusuf Osman Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2014 11:47 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Changes to the Audible app I'm using the Audible app for IPhone and recently updated it. Previously the library used to contain the name of the book and the author as one thing that you could double tap on to download or start playing. Now they seem to have split all this information up so instead of a list of books that you could swipe through relatively easily, you now have to go through the following for each book, Delete, Alex Ferguson (unabridged), by Alex Ferguson, narrated by ..., progress %30, 6 hours 25 minutes left. I've got a large number of books in my library and this just adds ridiculous numbers of actions that I have to do just to reach the 5th or 6th title. Is there a way of getting rid of all this extra stuff? Or perhaps an easier way of moving through the library. Secondly, the delete button doesn't appear to work, when I double tap on it, the book starts playing. Again, perhaps I'm missing something, can someone tell me how to remove a book from my IPhone.
