I think I remember now. They released a piece of software (soft pack); they sold it for £50 and it adds support for Audible enhanced. I’m not so sure they still sell it though that the VRS 1^st gen being an old product.

Wasn’t there a firmware update for the VRS 1^st gen to support Audible Enhanced? I could be wrong but it’s worth checking the Humanware site or asking their support about it.

I have the first jeneration Victor reader stream, and I don’t think it supports the enhanced format. Which is why I have always downloaded my books in format 4.

Hi everyone
For those of you who do not receive audible emails, just to let you all know that’s from the 30th of June audible will no longer support and Aumick available downloads in format for audio. They will only offer downloads in the new enhanced audio format. I am aware that some of you may have devices that do not support the latest audible enhanced format standard, so you will need to make sure you download any format for audiobooks before the end of June. Take care and thanks for reading.
