Would that mean that a music cd with a braille lable would qualify for AFTB?
I can't imagine that it would.

Hi Ray.

Thing is: it is an old laptop: I'm buying it from Ebay because it is
small and that's what I wanted: it is actually about four years old
which is why I a wondering whether I will have trouble with
Window-Eyes. Not sure what I will do if that happens as I've been given
money to purchase Window-Eyes - I suppose try to sort it out.

That is my main reservation about the laptop.

Mandy.

Mandy, I doubt you'll have much if any trouble with your new Dell Laptop
and running Window-Eyes. I think Aaron and the support team will do
their dammdest to help should their be any problems. They've just
released 6.1 now which at the moment is the only screen reader that will
fully support Vista if you did decide to go there. Like others here
though I'd certainly waite a while on that one, (smile).

I can be contacted off-list at:

Thanks for that information: knowing my luck I will have a problem
perhaps it will teach me to be content with what I have but at least if
I know it is solvable that is good news.

Mandy.

Mandy, you might be out of luck, why? On the GW-Info list to which I'm
no longer subscribed to since I've lost interest in Window-Eyes, grins,
there has been a discussion on video intercept issues occurring on some
Dell laptops. It involved some video cards made by ATI, however I can't
remember the model number. People has been advised to download the
latest drivers, not from the ATI site, but from Dell themselves. It's
something to do with ATI catalyst mobility drivers or something. As I
say I can't remember the exact details, but if you have problems running
Window-Eyes on your Dell laptop then this may be one of the reasons.
Good luck. P.S. If you want to subscribe to the GW-Info list, send a
message to listserv@xxxxxxxxxxx with the following, exactly as shown, in
