I have now just taken the plunge and bought a new PC with Windows 7 64 bit on it. I also decided to purchase the Plustek Opticbook 3600 scanner, but can I install it? Can I hell! I have tried everything I can think of, but it doesn't seem to want to play ball, so my first question is to ask if anyone else has successfully done this and, if so, what steps did they take to achieve it. Turning next to antivirus, I understand Microsoft Security Essentials is a good free utility, but I have spent hours literally trying to find the appropriate link to download the 64 bit version, unsuccessfully. This really hasn't been my day I can assure you. Could anyone please provide a direct link so that I might get this installed before I tear out what little hair I have anyway? Finally, before I spend tomorrow faffing about and being unsuccessful again, can I install my Office 2003 Professional software? Yes I realise I should upgrade, but I don't feel like it at the moment, so will it work with 64 bit And if there are any more nasty surprises left in store, please enlighten me now! (smile).
