Hi everyone,

Well, thanks for the input.  I have also had a good look around now to
see what's there.  I discovered the sizes have changed a little since we
purchased a cooker last, about 17 years ago, so now we have to stop
until a little work is done on our kitchen and we can make a final
choice.

True, that's one of the reasons mum won't have an electric cooker, no
use in 
a power cut, I on the other hand hate using gas hobs etc.
