yeah, I am going to try new batch of disks, but I think the drive will have
to be replaced.
In saying that, I'm not sure if the drive is still under guarantee, I'm not
sure how old the drive is,
Billy

Billy,

My first thoughts are the drives going to need to be replaced.

I don't think there's an option anywhere that'll fix this. If it's not
working with two burning applications and disks that have been burnt are
failing the finalising steps or not able to be read back.

Have you checked in Nero to make sure it's trying to burn to the write
device?

How about trying a different brand or pack of discs, in case you've got a
bad batch?

hi guys,
having the following problem with my Pioneer DVD-RW DVR 108 Rom Drive.
Just recently I have been unable to burn disks, using any versions of Nero
burning rom.
I have also tried using the xp burning function as well, but nothing doing.
The drive is reading disks all right.
The funny thing about it all is, sometimes during the burn cycle, it will
get to the 100 percent done, and then an error message: the burn cycle could
not be completed.

At other times, it will complete the burn cycle, but when you try playing
the disk in question, nothing happens.

And when you check the disk, funny enough, there is nothing on the disk.
Very frustrating,

Any Ideas,
One for George me thinks,
Billy
