Thank you for your reply, although the problem is now solved. I asume that
you did not see the following text which I wrote in a message in direct
reply to my own origeonal.

Please note that I do not need the help I asked for in the message to which
I am now replying. I had a look in the view of My Computer and have managed
to get the Icon for the E:\ CD Rom drive to re-appear now so the problem is
now solved."
