Hi Chris, I thought I tried that. No luck. It didn't recognise my burner.
Maybe I bought the wrong burner.

Yes it probably is to do with CDex. If you open CDex configuration with F4
and control tab to the CD-ROM page, there's a drive combo box. Make sure
that the external burner is selected and all should be well. Hope that
