ah, thanks again Collin. so they are going into the 17" screen for magnification. i was told at Loughborough that magnification under a screen smaller than 17" wouldn't work effectly at all. I could identify with that point as, my local college tried some strange magnification programme on me. it was for the computer however, the magnification was so strong that only 3 letters would fit on screen and there was no way to adjust this. So, this is good to hear. all the best, Justin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin @ New Vision" <cph.newvision@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 9:15 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: CCTV's in education > Hi Justin > > Schools are now looking at the 17" notebook and with the prices just over a > £1000 they seem the ideal solution for turning into a portable CCTV. > > Regards > Colin > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Justin R" <mypc128@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 8:11 PM > Subject: [access-uk] Re: CCTV's in education > > > > I had to comment on this Colin as, I find what V.I. children can have in > > school is mind blowing! if only the technology was around in the > eighties! > > > > A far cry from my heavey, monsterous looking AlfaVision CCTV and the > > horrible monocular used for reading off black boards, then white boards in > > my final two years of school.
