ah, thanks again Collin.  so they are going into the 17" screen for
magnification.  i was told at Loughborough that magnification under a screen
smaller than 17" wouldn't work effectly at all.  I could identify with that
point as, my local college tried some strange magnification programme on me.
it was for the computer however, the magnification was so strong that only 3
letters would fit on screen and there was no way to adjust this.

So, this is good to hear.
