How about Bluetooth speakers? Guess they have the USB ones!

Hi all:
I am attempting at a distance to advise how a family member can run speakers
in a room separate from where the computer is.

The existing speakers are USB, and I recall that the machine has a separate
3.5mm stereo socket.
It is possible to run cabling, but will the 3.5mm cut out the USB audio
stream?

The machine is a Dell media-based job about two years old.

TIA
