Just a tip, but if you can connect by wire to your router instead of wirelssly, I would do so. In several situations I have found significantly faster speeds using ethernet instead of wifi.
In fact the setup I've gone for is using Home Plugs which plug in to a mains socket, near your router, and one near where you want the computer. Then an ethernet cable connects your computer to the plug, and then you have extremely fast broadband. Not the chepaest option but worth the investment. I paid £40 for both my plugs.

Hi all,This is not for me, however this is just knowledge I'd like to have to tell my friend. She's going on Virgin broadband this January, and I'm curious. Since she's the only broadband user would she still need to connect through her cable or can she just go on wireless and not bother about ethernet. Thanks in advance for the knowledge.-- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx MSN: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
