There are some very cheap landline phone-calls to be had nowadays, some
even
offer Free calls to a selected number of international places. Talktalk
is
one which springs to mind, you pay one pound per month extra and you get
free calls to France for seventy minutes then you hang up and
redial...Good

I wasn't enquiring about sky for myself. It was for somebody on one of
the
forums. His father has just lost his sight. He doesn't use computers.
Doesn't really like tv but enjoys the radio so he was asking me if I knew
of
any radios that announced the station that is being tuned in to and if
there
was an easy way to know what radio station you were listening to on sky.
Here's the difficult bit. This guy's father doesn't like computers and he
has asked me if there was a way they could keep in touch. Nick is in
France,
his father is in the UK and Nick's sister is in Ghana. I immediately
thought
of e-mails but as his father doesn't use a computer that's not possible.
Any
other ideas? A very tricky one. The obvious solution is to get his father
on
the internet but if he's never watched tv or used a pc that could be
difficult!!
