Hi Pele and all,

Following Pele's message, I have changed the subject line to reflect the
general questions and impressions I have regarding the very new update to
this product.

I haven't experienced your problem Pele, but then I have the Braille
keyboard version.

As I too have upgraded, I have used the settings to make my usual
adjustments, and put in my wireless key successfully. But what I still
cannot do, and it is really driving me mad as I'd like to succeed, is to
pair my iPod Touch with the Sense. They see each other, but I can't get the
sequence quite right somehow. I feel I run out of time, yet there doesn't
seem to be any time to allow me to do anything. If anyone could provide me
with good instructions on how best to achieve this, I would be very
grateful.

I would also say that I discovered to my dismay that the SenseNav system I
bought with the machine no longer works because there is a new upgrade to
the software and maps from Sendero. But the price quoted for me to upgrade
to this package is £285, and there's no way I'm going down that road at such
a steep ask. Blimey the thing was over £600 to start with.

But I found Google Maps on the machine, so set up my Bluetooth GPS receiver
with the Sense and put in a route from my home to the village, and it worked
interestingly enough. Perhaps it isn't great, I don't know because I didn't
walk the route, but it would do the job perhaps?

I had a bit of trouble with putting Google in as my home page until Pele
kindly provided another Google link that seems more accessible.

Finally, I was disappointed that there is no Oxford English dictionary and
thesaurus. I was told after enquiring that the licence to purchase the
English version for these units would cost, wait for it, £70,000, so that's
why the icon is in the BrailleSense, but has no authorisation because we
can't buy it here.

Comments from anyone using the BrailleSense family and the new upgrade
welcome. The upgrade process was very straightforward, and I haven't had
any real problems setting it up again apart from the above. In the main, it
does the job for me.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
