Hi Carol and everyone

Problem sorted now *smile*.

I had to do a little more tweeking with the Wireless options list and
had to do a restart to try and get both the router and wireless card to
like each other - its done now and I'm surfing!

Thanks all for your help

Ian.

Ian,

Please elaborate on your setup - what's the router? Do you hear the
words
"Connected to . . ..?", then what happens?

Don't give up; we'll keep going and I'll start asking in the right
places
when we're stuck.
