Hi Patricia,

One thing Mega has in its favour though, is that you have so much control of
the Braille output, you could almost reprogram it yourself. It has many
things that even Duxbury lacks, such as Acronym rules built in, no using
Swift, and a very clever ruling for acronyms in my view. If it is not in
the spell checker dictionary, and if it is all in upper case, then it
assumes a letter sign if British Capitals are not used. If you then don't
want a letter sign, just add it to the spell checking dictionary. Duxbury
could still learn a lot from the Mega code, even though they own it <Smile>.

All the best

Steve

That's true - which is why I think it's better to tell people up front.
Much better to have people try it out and decide for themselves whether
they like it, too.

I don't know why, exactly - some sort of management decision I had no
input into, since it was made before I joined Quantum. I am not sure
that it's set in stone, however.

There are lots of Megadots aficionados about the place - a shame for
them that it's not going any further either. George will know more about
that than I do!

Cheers,
