I  haven't checked S.E.B. for a few years but it was the
case that religious texts had particular contractions.
The dot fives were:
C Christ
G god
L lord


Another that comes to mind is

Hl holy.

I was just teasing about writing dot five c for Christmas.
I think the reason these signs can not be used is because
both are two syllables.  I don't think you can use a sign
like that if a word is two syllables.
