you could try wiping the unit down with a slightly damp cloth. I do mean only slightly damp though. Ultimately though, I am afraid these units do need regular servicing. This being said, my Braillenote was made in August 2002. It has had a lot of use and is slowly nearing the end of its life I think. It even survived having someone opposite me opening a rather lively can of coke that spreyed over it. a wipe down with a cloth help restore things in that instance but some cells are finally starting to clear a bit reluctantly.
