Hi David I have tried a few notetakers.
The one I have now is the best of them all in my view.
It is the hims braille sense Polaris mini.
Good battery life good braille display and the android apps run fine on it.
You can get the 32 model which some braille users like but for me this
device is so easy to carry and use.
The cost has gone up since when it was first introduced but all these things
cost a lot of money.
I tried using a braille display which I connected to the laptop but it was a
dreadfull experience.
For me nothing still beats the all in one device.

Hi Catherine,
the Humanware machine that i tried was the Brailliant BI 14. All I need is a
Braille note taker that will take notes, as my memory now is not as good as
when I was younger!! so when I am on the web and I find something of
interest I would like to take down the web address and what the product is.
So when I go back on to my iMac I can look it up again.
David.

Hi,

Could you say more about what you want from the device and what you
didn't like about the one from Humanware?

I haven't looked into it for a while, and there is perhaps some
variance, but in my experience all braille notetakers cost an arm and
a leg.  But if you say more about what you want to use it for, maybe
listers can point you towards options.

I have just tried one from Humanware but it was not for me.
So I would appreciate anyone who could help me with there own
personal experience, thanks.
