I absolutely agree the only thing is that you would probably have to use american braille for this and another type of braille for that. As for the RNIB doing this you will have a long wait.

I think the one thing I have always wanted most is a small braille machine
such as the one which is being sought. There is a gap in the market for
such a machine. Something lightweight, half the size of a Perkins, that
takes maybe A5 pages. Annabell.

I hate to disagree with you Eleanor but I don't really like the perkins you
get now they are not very good in a number of way and they are too bulky to
carry about.

I like the big frames with their separate guides at least you could hear
when you got dictation unlike with a load of stainsby's and perkins.

indeed Janet but it is a step up from the hand frame.I guess one could also
call it a step down from the Perkins.๐Ÿ˜„

Hi, I should have said that I already have a braille frame, but I am not getting on with it, so that is why I am looking for a braille machine? David

Hi David
Just an idea!
How about a Braille frame?
I know you usually have to Braille right to left,
but I think there is one for left to right.

While a Braille frame, not a machine, I was just thinking
if it's just to Braille a note, now and again, a frame could be the
answer.

Hi, I am looking for aBraille machine that does not cost me an arm or
a leg! I do not want a Perkins as they are to big and heavy. I was
wondering if the Braille Jotta was still around and can it be bought
here in the UK, or is there another portable Braille machine on the
market? David.** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following
