A very valid point Anabelle. Maybe RNIB should take up the challenge of designing such a machine.

I think the one thing I have always wanted most is a small braille machine such as the one which is being sought. There is a gap in the market for such a machine. Something lightweight, half the size of a Perkins, that takes maybe A5 pages. Annabell.

I hate to disagree with you Eleanor but I don't really like the perkins you get now they are not very good in a number of way and they are too bulky to 
carry about.

I like the big frames with their separate guides at least you could hear
when you got dictation unlike with a load of stainsby's and perkins.

While a Braille frame, not a  machine, I was just thinking
if it's just  to Braille a note,  now and again,  a frame could be the
