Most note takers fdon't do this and they do warn you about it in the manual.
You should always save your work when you've finished, no questions asked.
You would normally save on a PC, so why not a note taker? Seems a bit daft
to me but there you are.
All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Braille Edge
In general, I am very pleased with this braille notetaker but today
something happened which did remind me of what I find extremely annoying.
I'd taken some lengthy notes last night before switching off the Braille
Edge, which, when re-opened, returns to where you were last.
This afternoon I spent nearly half an hour concluding these notes when it
hung. I did a soft re-boot but it lost all the work I did yesterday and this
afternoon. I really do wish that each time you switch off, it would
auto-save or ask if you want to save changes.
This has happened several times before - often enough that I really should
know better and save my document before I close!
