Hello Steve, and all,

Thanks for this.

Unfortunately this keystroke isn't working for me right now, when it comes
to fixing the double letters. Goodness only knows what Apple did to cause
this problem.

With very best wishes,

Keith

Hi,

Left and right arrows turn on and off quicknav.

All the best

Steve

Hello Mike,

That's odd, as I thought the problem would be the same in every editing
area.

I've typed a couple of texts this morning, using the Bluetooth keyboard.

I've pressed the left and right arrow keys, and all seems well.

If I'm honest, I don't quite know exactly what this function does. Is one
function rather like the virtual cursor in JAWS, which has an exploratory
function, and the other, just like the PC cursor, used for writing?

I don't use Safari, doing all my internet stuff on my PC.

Anyway, so long as it's working, that's fine by me.

With all best wishes,

Keith

Hi Keith,

I thought so too, but the old problem recurred when typing into Safari. I've
had no problem with texting, yet.

Besst wishes,

Mike

Subject: [access-uk] Bluetooth keyboard with the iPhone

Hello all,

I'm about to eat my words.

I had thought that the IOS 8.1.1 upgrade had sorted out the Bluetooth
keyboard problem of double letters being typed, but, unfortunately, it
hasn't, and it's very frustrating.

The only way to temporarily solve the problem, that I can fathom, is to
switch the darned phone off and on again. And then, the following day, the
problem returns.

Thank goodness there's an excellent dictate feature, but I still use the BT
keyboard to write certain texts.

With very best wishes,

Keith
