Generic Bluetooth Radio and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

OK, well put simply, if you just plug a Bluetooth dongle in to windows, the
native windows XP stack will install itself however this stack is by no means
comprehensive and lacks many of the features found in a commercial stack from
the likes of Broadcom who make most of the Bluetooth chips embedded in mobiles
and laptops today. If you go in to the control panel, system then device
manager, under Bluetooth devices, what comes up for the name of your dongle?
If its a Broadcom chip then you can get the Bluetooth stack from their website,
else you'll need to contact the manufacturer of your device for a copy of the
widcomm stack as it is customised for device makers.

I think that is the problem, I don't think I am using a Bluetooth Stack. It
did mention in the headset user guide that one would be required. I just have a
Bluetooth dongle attached to the PC, so I don't think that's enough?

Headset make and model?
Bluetooth stack your using usually Widcomm or Microsoft?
If Widcomm, the version of the stack? You can get this by right clicking
on the system tray icon for Bluetooth and selecting about from the menu that
pops up.

Hi, I have a Bluetooth headset which I want to connect to the PC. Am I
right in thinking that not all Bluetooth headsets will work with the PC? I've
gone to Bluetooth in the Control Panel and paired the headset with the PC, but
when I go to Connect in the Start Menu, I am told there are no devices that
support Personal Area Networking. So does this mean you need a certain type of
Bluetooth headset to use with the PC? And is it possible at all to use the
Bluetooth headset to listen to the PC?
