Hi Clive, In my view the BlackBerry screen reader doesn't offer as good access to the BlackBerry OS as Voiceover does to iOS. However, if you don't want much beyond the core functions of the phone, then I think it's usable. The two key things I changed were to decrease the sensitivity of the square touch control and alter the home screen from grid to list view. This meant that the touch control behaved far more predictably, though it does slow navigation. I'd tell you how to change those settings, but my BlackBerry is currently flat and I'll need to charge it first as I can't remember off hand. I tried one the other day and felt that using the gadget, designed to be used with hand-to-eye co-ordination was rather like trying to drive a car because the satnav had speech output. However, I'm open to persuasion if others on list have mastered the art of using a speech-enabled Blackberry device. Its use is becoming more and more taken for granted here, so I'm open to persuasion if you have mastered the art of using the device.
