Hi

Thanks for the replies. I know it’s a grey area, and certainly did not intend
to start any arguments. Thanks all for taking the time to write.

Donna

Hi,

I don’t think it’s that black and white, but we’ll let it be.

All the best

i doubt there is anything illegal she should worry about, if she's legally paid
for the movie then she can do pretty much anything she wants with it, so long
as it's for her personal use alone.

same if you buy a dvd movie from a store, you can copy it, twice or a thousand
times, convert it to a different video format, even use it as a coaster or a
frisby. it's the copying and distributing it to others or making it available
for download via p2p networks torrents and things that's illegal.

  Hi Donna,

I don’t think you can, since Apple would deem this illegal.

  Sorry about that.

help please

  Hi

I was a member of this list a while ago but had to leave due to health
problems. Unfortunately, my health problems are ongoing so let me apologise
first for only being a sporadic contrbutor to the list. I will help out when I
can, health permitting.

Now onto my question. If this is felt to be inappropriate for the list, I
apologise, but I really do need some help. I have purchased quite a lot of
films on itunes and now need to convert them to ordinary dvd for my own use. I
do not intend to break any laws as such as I will not be passing the films to
others, but due to hospital situations which I am encountering it would make
life easier if I could play these films on an ordinary dvd player. I have
downloaded many trials of products which apparently remove drm and convert
itunes films to dvd, but I have not yet found one which is accessible with
speech. Is anyone aware of a product which I could use to create a video
playable on dvd from an itunes film and which is at least relatively screen
reader friendly?

Thank you in advance for any help, and if this is not appropriate to the list
my apologies once again.

  Best regards

  Donna Slater
