Hi thanks for that.

I also found the manual online in pdf.

Odd that it's not on the cd.

Hi,

The Voyager 2100 and 2110 also are set up for the UK, so that is VC0, VPI0 VCI38. On some models you have to set this manually, and if you haven't encountered it before, it's a bit of a chore to go through and work out what the settings are.

I haven't seen some of the newer models however - if I remember correctly the setup CD will present the user with details, and then send commands to the router to get it set up. This is done in Flash and a couple of other things, and it installs BT Broadband helper software which is not accessible.

If admin/password doesn't work, try admin and admin for the username and password. If the IP address doesn't work, do an ipconfig and use the default gateway as the router IP address.

Thanks.
Andrew.

That's cool Andrew.

That's easy. I knew that was the url for Linksys routers but didn't realise
it was one to try at first for most.

Hi, D Epending on which model she has, it is usually http://192.168.1.1 with the user of admin and the password of password.

Remember to plug in a splitter to other phone sockets on the same line that
have a phone connected - eg Sky digital boxes, phones etc.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Hi all.

My girlfriend is having BT Total Broadband installed tomorrow.

Never having used ADSL before I'd like a quick heads up.

Please could somebody confirm the following and also give me the url for the
routers web utility?

On the cd there's no manual! Only a brief tutorial which doesn't give ya
that useful snippit.

I'm guessing the procedure will go like this.

1. Man comes to install line.

2. I plug the filter into the phone line.

3. I plug a phone wire into the end of the filter and plug it's end into a
free socket on the router.

I know how to connect it to the PC having looked at the equipment last
night.

Is it necessary to run the installation cd or is this extra fluff?

Thanks guys.
