Hi George,

BT probably blocks use of SMTP outside of the UK as a security measure against
Mailboxes who have been compromised. They might have to use gmail or such like
for SMTP and their BT for incoming, not ideal I know. only thing I can think
of.

Regards,

Barry.

With dozens of btinternet users here, I'm hoping one of you might be able to
advise here.

An associate in the Canaries can receive e-mail, but is unable to send.

Both POP3 and SMTP servers, which work here OK in the UK, are set to
"mail.btinternet.com".

Any suggestions as to where to begin looking?

George.
