Then they were not exactly telling the whole truth, nobody can guarantee
speeds as there are so many variables, especially with BT as their fibre
optics only reach to the main cabinet and from there they go through the
old
copper cables. Even with the fibre optics, BT's speeds still depend on
how
far you are away from the main exchange, so in reality you could sign up
for
Infinity and believe their guaranteed 66Mb, but with the above taken
into
account, you could still only get 2Mb.
