To each their own.

Well I've just been on line and checked what Infinity can offer me and no way will I change from Virgin. I can't actually match packages but the closest I can get will cost me over £10 per month more. The basic is £13 but with only evening and weekend free calls so to get anytime I will have to pay another £4.99. The broadband is capped at !0 gb whereas mine is no limit so I'd have to add at least another 5 gb at £5 Making a total so far of £23 which is almost certainly without VAT which will add another £4.60 giving a full total of £27.60 against my current £16.15. The only small advantage to Infinity is they do not charge for 0845 calls which Virgin do. With the rest I'd be foolish to even think about it.

That seems to be the view of a lot of people, unjustified in my opinion
since I think you'll find that VM is more expensive.

Hi there

Just put my 2 pence in and say that I have been with BT for the last seven years and have had Infinity since last year and have to say that I have had good service for all these years.

I have to smile when I get a call from other ISP's telling me that they can give me a good service for only a cheap price and as soon as I tell them that I am on Infinity, I get an apology for having wasted my time.

Anyway, that said, it is entirely up to you.

Regards.

Subject: [access-uk] BT Infinity

Hi
I have just had a call from BT telling me that work has been done in my area such that I would be able to go on to BT Infinity. This would mean a change of ISP from Orange wich I have been with for years. If anyone has switched to BT Infinity, is there anything of which I need to be particularly aware? I have to say I wasn’t particualrly impressed with the tone of the call. Its main function seemed to be to dismiss any other ISP.
