Hi Steve and Jackie,
Maybe they might ship them to third world countries for those who can’t afford
one even on the second hand market.

Yes, good point. Maybe they’ll sell them on at a discount for people who don’t
need the latest and not so greatest? 😊
All the best

Hi Steve
Hims claims it will update the operating system, but past experience with both
Hims and HumanWare suggests it isn’t that straightforward. The other thing is
that people only have until tomorrow to hand over their existing device to take
advantage of the £2,500 offer, it is a lot to expect folk to have those funds
to hand. Still, good luck to anyone who goes for it, perhaps I am being too
cynical.
Out of interest, I wonder what S and S and Hims are doing with all the devices
that are traded in? It would be nice to think they can be passed onto people
in schools locally or in other countries rather than being destroyed.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

Hi Jackie,
Not to mention it is on Android 10, which is nearly two years old. 12 will be
out in the autumn.
All the best

Remember though that if you are being offered £2,500 for your existing device –
and that is of course dependent on what the spec of that device is – you would
have paid good money for it to begin with. So you will get ‘up to’ £2,500 for
it to trade against the BS6 which is retailing for £4,395 which, by my
calculation, means you still have £2,000 or thereabouts to put towards it. Yes
it means you can offload a device you no longer want, and it means you don’t
have to go through the hassle of selling it privately. But the old adage that
if something sounds too good to be true, it often is. We’ve heard how great
the BS6 is from Selvas or Hims, whatever they call themselves these days, but
we heard it all with Polaris, and frankly that was a big disappointment.
In short, don’t be fooled by the hype all the time.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

hi paul hope this does not come back blank.
i am not quite sure they did say any hims product but, that seems a bit far
fetched to me and yes i have the polaris where 3 years back i paid good money
for it only to find it very poor mine is the 20 cell mini. this device for me
at 2 thousand five hundred is far better than 4 and a halp thousand. i would
ring them tomorrow as soon as possible because the offer is a real good and
fair one.

Hi John,
What are the qualifying trade-ins? Just the Polaris? I've not seen the deal, so
any information would be extremely helpful.

Hi, sight and sound sell it, though I can't tell you how much it costs, as they
