Hi, I disagree. If we don't have caps, we have illiterate blind people who don't know how to write in the sighterd world. They write everything in lower case. And don't get me started on spelling because of contracted Braille. Sadly some people are trying to make Braille more like print. We don't need to show capital letter in Braille. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Iain Lackie Sent: Saturday, June 07, 2014 10:16 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: BRAILLE ON PACKAGING Braille is not a language. Perhaps if this misconception was laid to rest, more people might be more willing to learn. In that piece I mentioned that The co-Op labels many, though not all of its own brand lines in Braille. Today, however, I found a discrepancy between the print and Braille packaging. I bought a pack of Co-Op bran flakes. Thankfully I don't have to rely solely on the Braille to identify products because the Braille said that the pack contained Golden Honey Nut Corn flakes. I'll have to go back and determine weather all of the packs are labelled wrongly in Braille. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq -- PRIVACY IS A BASIC RIGHT - NOT A CONCESSION ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
