Can you guide me to the latest version of webie iplayer download, I keep
getting lost on the website.

Having said that I do notice this truncating of programs sometimes but when it
occurs it is always I find the fault of the BBC which has shortened the program
recording rather than having anything to do with Webbie.
For example yesterday I downloaded and saved ,
2 episodes of DeadRingers , Claire in the Community, Just a minute, Morecombe
and Wise, 9 Lessons and Carols, A play called Far side of the Moore, From
Russia with love, Thunderball,, A play about Ken Dodd, a play called Their
humble Servants, and Dad’s Army.
I have checked all of these now and none have finished early for me.

files don’t record, or download all the programme, at least a 30 seconds fap
at the end?

Yes it is working fine for me – I have just tried a sample program from the
Audio Described category which is the one I use the most.
Webbie breaks occasionally when the BBC mess around with the website but
Alastair normally does his best to catch up and it is working fine now, for the
time being.

Despite the so called death of the BBC iPlayer the Webbie Accessible suite of
programs, especially the BBC iPlayer Radio app is working as well as it ever
has for me on Windows 10.
I downloaded 26 programs yesterday from Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra with
consummate ease for offline listening on my Daisy player. Just cursor down to
the desired station, press enter to bring up the available programs list, tab
to that program list and press enter to start any program playing. If you want
to save it just press control S and type in a filename of your choice.
It could not be easier really.
If you want live BBC radio the Live BBC Radio app in the same suite of programs
is also still working fine.
If you want Podcast then there is also a Podcast downloader though personally I
still use QCast. Also Podcasts may be easier just to get from the BBC
website.
I think both Webbie and Speak On are classics of programming for the VI
community and not always fully appreciated. We would be the much poorer for
their absence.

On an iPhone the BBC sounds app seems relatively straightforward though they do
seem to want to tell you what you should be interested in listening to rather
than making it easier to browse like in the Webbie Suite.
