Hi Douglas,
Thanks very much for your help!
The problem was that I "ran" it rather than "saving" it.
I've succeeded my quest thanks to your instructions.

Maggie,

I hope that Alasdair does not mind me jumping in here but the beta of the BBCiplayer TV does not have an installer yet. The file you downloaded is quite independent of the main accessible program group. For the present, find it in the folder to which you downloaded it,
open its Context Menu and choose Send To, Desktop as short cut.

hope that answers your query,

Douglas

Hi Alasdair and all,
Thanks for your good work!
However, I have a problem!
I run the programme and it opens for me. But, when I try and find it, in
order to put a shortcut onto my desktop, I cannot find it in "my
programmes," nor in my Webbie folder. Can you please direct me to where I
can find it? Thanks, Maggie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alasdair
