Hi Richard, Yes, I fully support that, who have you submitted it to? Perhaps we could complain on mass to the people that should be aware of this inequality. Strangely enough, I may just have their contact details and names here! ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard Godfrey-McKay To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 12:53 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: BBC Iplayer I've just submitted a complaint about the inaccessibility of this, and I suggest that others do the same. Wonder if "Out of Touch" would be interested? I couldn't do anything quickly. I am using a voip phone which may have been a contributing factor, I really don't know. I unplugged the phone and everything speeded up. I only use that phone. So, for me, that was not a satisfactory solution. I had to uninstall it, and just listen to Radio 2, and BBC world service using shortcuts. It was to bad too. Have any of you experienced the same problem? ----- Original Message ----- From: Colin Fowler To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 6:40 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: BBC Iplayer Ian, I wholly agree, not only should simple commands as that be simple and constant, but also the BBC have a duty to ensure that all aspects of I player are accessible. Who do they think they are to launch a technology service for the audience facing public without first ensuring that all of it is accessible, audio description is incorporated and so on? I think we should start a campaign to petition the board of trustees, it is not acceptable in this day and age. ----- Original Message ----- From: Iain Lackie To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 11:28 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: BBC Iplayer We shouldn't need to get a sighted person to do something as basic as adjust the volume This is ridiculous. Hope this might help. However, today I tried to listen to The Jungle Book and yesterday's Archers. It appeared to be playing but not a sound could I hear. I can't think of anything I have done. Am I alone?
