Thanks for your suggestions.

I've updated Avast, I tried to check that it is registered the register button
seems to show up each time but I do have a register code and inserted it and
seemed to be informed that it was successful but I am unsure.

I'm trying to do a scan but it seems to be taking forever and still Avast has
not spoken to me but I configured it per instructions sent out on this list
which I saved and now can certainly read through options I couldn't see before.

I definitely don't have sounds disabled either.

Mandy.

  Hi Mandy,

We have just had a discussion re Avast on another list so here are a couple
of thoughts!

Avast will only be valid for 14 months after registering for it.

You are also given initially something like 30 days in which to register the
product before it will become defunct!

Another thing you might ponder is to install the latest version.

It is quite possible that there may not have been updates recently but we
wouldn't of course want to go on that!

  Good luck!

  Tony

Since coming back from my cruise, Avast hasn't updated at least not
verbally. It didn't whilst I was away either.
What should I do about this?

    Mandy.
