Yes you are right the audible.com site is US based but I had an account there
a good few years ago which is still active although I've not purchased any new
titles since signing up for audible.co.uk a few years ago now. I was able to
put both titles from my audible.com and audible.co.uk account on my bookcourier
and just didn't think it would be an issue when I swopped for my Stream.
Anyway I'll investigate further and if not talk to the audible.co.uk support
team.

Does anyone out there know (and I'm sure one of you two will!) if you can
authorise more than 1 Audible account on a VR Stream without causing any
problems?
I I have already successfully authorised my Stream with my audible.co.uk
account but I also have some books from when I started off as an audible.com
user - I used to have my Bookcourier authorised for both accounts but thought
I'd check before trying to do so on my stream.
All help greatfully received!
