Hi,

As I understand it, playback volume effects any source, wave just effects the wave source. So playback volume will effect wave, cd, midi, auxiliary mic et cetera, and each of these has it's own discrete volume control. Consider playback as an overall master volume if you like.

good luck,

What is the difference bwtween playback volume and Wave Volume? I have two different controls which is why I'm asking. Would you by any chance be able to check your own volume settings for me so I can make sure I have them right? The 3 I am interested in are: Playback, Wave, and in the recording properties, what you hear? To save cluttering up the list, maybe you could email me privately with these at donna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope you can help, cos I'm slightly confused. Adjusting the Wave volume made no difference whatsoever to the recording, but adjusting the playback one did, so now I'm not sure whether I should adjust playback, what you hear and Wave, or just one of them.

Thanks

Donna
