Subject: [access-uk] Re: Audible access site

Hi all,
I have spent 2 hours this morning with the customer care person for
Audible.co.uk, Nicola, who has sorted out my audible problem at last.
Basicly, I could not get onto my account for the last few days as the links
in Internet Explorer ceased to work. I am using win8 with Internet Explorer
8 and Jaws 14.
Nicola used the "assist" facility to take control of my laptop and she could
see exactly what was happening. Eventually we fired up Firefox and even then
the links were in trouble, so after consulting the technical team she
updated my Adobe acrobat and my Java. With all these and Firefox updated
fully the whole thing began to work properly. I now have full access again
but only using Firefox.
Jaws is not the problem.
She told me they would email me when they make Internet Explorer compatible
with Audible.co.uk which it is not at the moment.
She was a very helpful and bright lady who quickly under stood the problem.
Hope this helps others.
Aedan.

The Audible.co.uk site now has a message at the top of each page about
accessibility, and directing people to www.audible.co.uk/access. Looks like
they may have taken heed of people's messages to them!
