Two experiences to report here re. articles for the blind. I had one specialist company sending print invoices for an item I'd bought delivered separately with articles for the blind labels stuck on the envelope. I hope the business got a warning, but they are still in business in spite of me reporting it to Royal Mail. Second and way back almost in pre-history, a friend received some large 1.5 batteries rolled up in a Braille letter sent articles for the blind. You could hear the batteries rattling around in the rolled up letter. The postman was indignant saying it was not allowed, which it wasn't, and isn't. I'd say if many here are determined to abuse the system then look forward to losing it, given the commercial pressures Roayal Mail is now under. Your parcel may fall witin the guidelines but it would depend on exactly what it is technically, there are some items that are allowed specifically through AFB and others that are not. I do know that sometimes checks are run to see it is not being abused. I once had to write snotty letter to the local post office when someone there took it upon themselves to regard a braille bank statement as chargeable postage. Anyway, I think this site may be a good starting point: http://www.rnib.org.uk/xpedio/groups/public/documents/PublicWebsite/public_afbgl .hcsp#P10_949 Regards.
