I suggested that just a couple of days back on the iPhone list. ...

You might be able to do this also with the handwriting facility already in the phone, but I can't be bothered with that.

one thing i never was taught to do at college and school was to sign my name which is really anoying.

maybe with this pen and voice if you do certain gestures it will speak them so maybe with this thing i can learn how to sign or write my name. i can remember seing the big capital letter's on the top of newspapers but that's all. so you never know.

with this sort of thing though a new iphone and ipad how far can apple make it any better i am really pleased with my iphone 5 s and for me it seems silly slashing out extra cash for something new unlless it's a big big diference. tomorrow when i go to doncaster to tune two pianos my satnav is everything for me. also the abillity to look up the trains is also everything and i use the moovit ap for the buses. be interesting to see in ios 9 what the transport options are in the maps app are like.

All the best

Hi All
I thought this may interest some of you.

Apple's new iPad Pro has 12.9in screen

The Guardian 10 September 2015

Apple has announced a new iPad Pro with a larger 12.9in screen and a
focus on productivity. The company's chief executive Tim Cook
announced the new iPad
in San Francisco, along with updates to the company's other products
including the iPhone.

The iPad Pro is the first iPad since the product was launched in 2010
to have a screen larger than 9.7in and has the same width screen as
the iPad Air 2's
height. The iPad Pro, similar to Apple's MacBook Pro and Mac Pro
computer lines, is being marketed as a business or professional
tablet, capable of running
two full-sized applications side-by-side on the screen.

Measuring 12.9in diagonally, the iPad Pro's screen offers 76 % more
screen area than the current 9.7in, with the same 4.3 ratio for its
width and length.

It will be available in November in silver, gold and space grey for
$799 (£520) with 32GB of storage, with versions with more memory and
4G connectivity
costing up to $1'079. Samuel Gibbs
