Hi James,

Yeah I did like Alex's voice.  I'm  a strange one though as I prefer
Elaquince because IMHO it's a balance between Dectalk and TTS voices like
Alex.  I would though be very much a utilitarian user of the C.

The quality of the hardware is I think better because although not
everything is manufactured by Apple, the design process is and it is very
noticeable. The point you make about sppech is very true, but I do not
believe that people who say "oh I can listen to Eloquence at 80 or 100
percent" are being honest. I do not believe that they can even get the gist
of what they are reading unless of course it is something they've written
themselves and listen to it immediately. But yes, the Alex speech is not as
fast  as JFW or WE, but it is much nicer to listen to and it actually
"breathes" which is a cool feature and only ads to the human-like quality of
the voice.
