You have to have a card on file to download the free ones.

You would need an adult to set up an account and then decide if they should give her the password or have her come to them every time she want to install an app.

Hi Guys,
My grandaughter received an iPod Touch from Santa but she can't download anything from the Apple store as she is too young to own a credit card. She wanted to download some free Apps but it kept asking for credit card details
which she didn't have.
Surely there's a way to download freebies as there's bound to be millions of kids who own iPods.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how it's done?
Tom.
