Why do you want an iPod? Apart from the fact they only appeal to shameless consumer whores, the software for uploading stuff onto it is unusable (which seems to be changing because of Brian Hartgen's scripts and set files) and unless you can see the display how on earth can you scroll through the directories. That is, apart from the shuffle, which doesn't rely on being able to see a display, but the memory is 512 meg - I think - which is pretty tiny compared to alternatives that are more accessible and offer at least forty times that. Take the iRiver 300 series. It's a piece of cake to upload tracks onto it thanks to the Explorer-style interface and after you've memorised the key presses to navigate between folders, its easy to flit between albums and tracks etc. Forget the iPod its all hype. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of barrie moxon Sent: 06 July 2005 18:37 To: access uk Subject: [access-uk] Apple iPod hi folks. looking for Apple iPod . any surjection's which is the best to use for a total blind person to use. all the best.
