Ah ha! May be cheaper to go with a touch screen phone then! We'll have to just wait and see.

Hi Chris,

Almost. The only difference is that you lift and tap, instead of just
letting go. In Talks it is called explore mode.

All the best

True. Does Talks allow for the same flexibility though? For example I
like the idea where in touch typing mode you move your finger across the
screen until you find the letter you want, then let go to select it.

Hi Chris,

But Apple isn't the only game. Talks will let you access touch screens,
as
will Mobile Speak.

Brilliant idea. I applaud Apple for what they are doing for making these
otherwise inaccessible devices accessible. I am contemplating getting an
iPod Touch myself, and I can see my family be amazed when I tell them I
can use a touch screen without sighted assistance.
